This is our second year of photographing the 2025 Southern Cross Wayfinder Awards at the Park Hyatt – an afternoon that celebrates the visionary businesses, business leaders, and employees who value their workforce and grow the health and wellbeing of their people.
Before guests arrived, I captured the calm: the waterfront views, the soft hotel lighting, and the Wayfinder branding woven through the décor. Once the room filled, the atmosphere shifted to excited conversation and proud reunions. I focused on a mix of clean, professional portraits and genuine candid moments – teams laughing at their tables, finalists sharing a quiet “well done,” and reactions as names were read out.
On stage, I aimed for that perfect trio each time: the handshake, the hero shot with the award, and the unguarded smile that followed. By the end of the night, the gallery told a simple story – a beautiful venue, a thoughtful event, and a Southern Cross team genuinely celebrating the people who help others find their way.
